Rewarding in International Law

چکیده

Abstract Why states comply with international law has long been at the forefront of and relations scholarship. The compliance discussion largely focused on negative incentives. We argue that there is another, undertheorized mechanism: rewarding. provide a typology illustrations how rewards can be applied. Furthermore, we explore rationale, potential, limitations rewarding, drawing rationalist psychological approaches. Both approaches ample justifications for making greater use rewarding in law.
